about

Written for a horror film that was shot but never edited due to a series of unfortunate events, the inspiration for The Garple Burn was actually a body that was discovered during a routine archaeological dig. The woman’s hastily wrapped corpse was dated to around 1200AD and her injuries were consistent with murder, almost certainly as a result of supernatural superstition within her community. Eventually she was reburied close by to allow the contstruction to go ahead.

The Book of the Film Scotland, UK

The Book of the Film is a vanity project to transmit music of limited appeal into the universe. It is inspired by past human interaction with the magical and hostile landscape of rural south west Scotland. It might appeal to fans of hauntology, though equally to fans of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Pentangle, Eliane Radigue, or Mike Oldfield. ... more
